EDM 417: 200 years of Carrickmannon Primary School

That this House celebrates the 200th birthday of Carrickmannon Primary School, in the village of Ballygowan which lies in the constituency of Strangford; notes that Carrickmannon is a controlled Primary School, with a current enrolment of 87 children and the building itself, opened in 1825, is noted of historical interest, which the School have been able to renovate and extend, providing modern classroom facilities and a resource area; highlights the school's aspiration to provide children with the opportunity to become successful, confident learners whilst providing a safe and supportive environment to help children reach their full potential; underlines the commitment of staff who go above and beyond each day to teach pupils and give them the tools necessary to succeed; and wishes Carrickmannon all the very best for the future.
